Bediasites
About Bediasites
Bediasites are a rare and highly collectible type of tektite found exclusively in a small area of east-central Texas, USA, near the town of Bedias β from which they take their name. Formed approximately 34 million years ago from the intense heat and pressure of a meteorite impact, Bediasites are among the oldest tektites on Earth. They are typically dark olive-green to black in colour, with a glassy, often pitted or sculpted surface that bears the marks of their extraordinary fiery origin. As one of the rarest tektites in the world, Bediasites are prized by both collectors and crystal healers.

Their extreme rarity β found only in a small area of Texas β makes them among the most sought-after tektites in the world for collectors and crystal enthusiasts alike.
